PIHRO recognizes the financial challenges faced by low-income families in arranging marriages, particularly for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. In many communities, the burden of dowry (Jahez) and wedding expenses often results in prolonged financial hardship, social stigma, and even delayed or cancelled marriages. Our initiatives aim to provide dignity, equality, and relief from such socio-economic pressures.
Through community donations and organizational funds, PIHRO provides Jahez packages to economically disadvantaged and deserving girls. These packages include essential household items such as bedding, kitchen utensils, clothing, and other necessities that help newlyweds establish a stable home. Each package is tailored to the cultural and economic context of the recipient’s community.
To further reduce costs for individual families, PIHRO organizes joint marriage ceremonies for multiple couples. This approach minimizes the financial burden while fostering unity, solidarity, and joy within the community. It also ensures that deserving couples can begin their married life without undue debt or hardship.
In many underprivileged families, arranging meals for wedding guests can be financially overwhelming. PIHRO steps in to provide nutritious and culturally appropriate meals for wedding events, ensuring that families can host their celebrations with dignity and joy, without compromising their financial stability.
